62-67 Nova Gasser straight axle subframe

We've PERFECTED the straight axle frontend! Straight axle cars have always been a handful to drive on the strip, and even worse on the street. After months of engineering and consultation with some of the finest minds in the business, we've built a bolt-on first gen Nova Gasser frontend that you will be able to drive down the interstate comfortably. It has a front steer design that allows for not only perfect drag link alignment for zero bump steer, but lots of room for even big blocks.Almost any oil pan will fit, no need for the hard to find horsepower robbing Chevy II style with the notch in the sump. Plenty of room for those big headers too, either under chassis, or true Gasser style fenderwells.

The frame horns and front crossmember have been designed to be a perfect fit for your stock radiator support. With 8 threaded inserts installed, it will bolt right on and make it an easy deal to mount your fenders, grill, headlight buckets etc. The urethane bushed tube style motor mounts not only look awesome, they also provide the strength of solid motor mounts without the severe vibration.

These are the finest quality available. Jig built and fully TIG welded with the closest tolerances in the industry. All mounting plates are precision laser cut and the tubes are CAD profiled for a perfect fit. There are copies out there, but no one can match our quality or price.

The front clip includes the frame (shown powdercoated for photos, will come bare), 2" x .250 wall axle that won't bend over time like others, super slide springs with urethane bushings. New, (not remanufactured) Vega steering box with polished stainless steel pittman arm, FORGED early Chevy spindles with pre-fitted pins, 9 1/4" vented rotors with 5 x 4 3/4 bolt circle, GM metric style calipers with pads, bearings, seals, etc. The steering arms are custom fabricated with a gold irridite finish. The tie rod and drag link include 5/8" rod ends with cone spacers to eliminate any chance of bind throughout suspension travel. The shocks are chrome PRO pieces and all hardware is grade 8 or better from SPECIALTY FASTENERS. No junk at all here. The entire frontend is pre-assembled to check fit and clearances to insure a trouble free installation.

For sale is the clip only, it does not include the steering joints or shaft. The assembled unit on the '63 is shown with a mock up BBC and the car has no interior so there is little weight on the front springs. Depending on your cars finished weight, the frontend static height will be between 9" and 12" from the top of the frame to the spindle centerline. There are 6 leaves in each spring, (very stiff), you will probably want to remove a leaf or two, but that is easily done after your first test drive.
